@Mr Cheng, does typhoon in US will help Lii Hen furniture demand?
2) Lii Hen has a bit of problem with insufficient workers, do you think it will be a big problem for them to statisfiy demand from their customer especially from US?
hi iqbal, I doubt typhoons in US will help furniture demand. it will probably help petrochemicals businesses more. I have read processors stocking up resins but not furniture. historically, liihen has stronger revenue at q3 and q4; which is the upcoming two quarters.
as for the foreign workers, I guessed its an on going thing and depends on how the mgmt handles it. For liihen, the mgmt indicates product diversification and increasing customer base, cost mgmt to offset production cost. the recent discontinuation of foreign workers hiring by gov is not affecting the furniture industry.
Thanks for the insight. I've read on the news recently on Malaysian Insight, "furniture industry fears missing out on trade war", I'm not sure if it will affect lii Hen future QR result, but the management raises their concern on this matter on recent QR. I also noticed just now that similar problem arised in the past on 2016.. But I guess u right, it depends on how the mgmt deals w/ it. Forex, trade war, is in their favour...Maybe the worker issue won't be a big problem. Thanks again sir
you are welcome, Iqbal. the mgmt track record is pretty good. personally, I am not too worry on future QR results as long as the div payout is consistent/increasing. everyone has different rate of returns resulting in different TP. mine is almost there. :) best is to follow your own plan.
