They are more onto GREEN agenda, pro-EU stand while EU's economy is stagnant. Germany is in recession for 2 consecutive years now. Current government is not oil & gas friendly while Malaysia is crude oil producer.

Diesel retail price has gone up. They are now going to implement B40 Biodiesel which is even more expensive. They are going to sell biodiesel in the market where 40% of that diesel is blended with palm oil. Biodiesel is estimated around 70 to 130% more expensive than diesel fuel. 1 liter of diesel produces more energy than 1 liter of biodiesel. Palm oil freezes when cold, okay?!

In Germany, 1 liter of biodiesel cost them around Euro170 per liter. This is a wholesale price. The cost of producing biodiesel is US930 per ton. Its easily can reach US1300 per ton at retail price.

While crude oil is only US73 per barrel. 10 times more cheaper than biodiesel.

When you want to sell energy fuel, you need to come out with OCTANE No. We refer to a standard from API, American Petroleum Institute. And where companies like SDG or any palm oil plantation companies going to get this no from? Petronas has their on laboratories plus API standards.

Pls ask PMX or Zafrul. I am sure 100% they don't know.
