Tteffub, Hua Yang is not only targeted Muslim customers, its customer base should be general Malaysians, so U shouldn't compare it with those kopitiam operated by Bumi businessmen. Food n drinks quite pricey, many said coffee just soso... Nasi lemak just above average... Wonder why many being affected by research houses that if they double the number of outlet to about 40 then profit before tax can go up about 100%, don't think that easy to boost operating profit n profit 100%...
For my view, those food outlets targeted Muslim customers but being owned by Chinese businessmen normally they will compromise taste of food n maybe drinks as well. For kopitiam food, the Chinese customers r more demanding than malays coz not many Malays always visit Chinese style kopitiam, nasi lemak maybe consider general food that malays n Chinese also always eating it. Like one chicken rice chain stores mostly targeted Muslim customers, their taste really so so...
If the menu like old town last time then mainly are Chinese food... If the management wants to target Muslim customers more than Chinese customers then a bit strange.. Waiting longer time than expected plus many foreign labour in the outlets... Interesting.
