The sluggish state of its auto operations is underscored by the fact that the Segambut land, with a book value of RM515 million, is worth more than twice the company’s auto business — as reflected in its current market capitalisation of around RM200 million. At its peak in 2013, the company’s market cap exceeded RM3 billion.
