because readjustment of 40 sen per dividend . if the issue of dividend is small in % yield, then usually you don't notice any difference. but if big dividend yield, then the adjustment is noticeable

no price won't adjust to yesterday price. but if demand is up, so will buying increase which will cause the counter to increase in share price
