KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd has secured a RM2.14 billion contract to build hyperscale data centres in Selangor, lifting its outstanding order book to nearly RM40 billion.
The contract was awarded to its unit Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd by Quantum Alpha Sdn Bhd for the construction, completion, testing and commissioning of hyperscale data centres at Eco Business Park V.
Work on the project is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of this year and is targeted for completion by end-September 2027, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
At the midday break, Gamuda's share price slipped 13 sen or 2.29 per cent to RM5.54. The stock opened lower and continued to trend downwards in the first half of trading, hitting an intraday low of RM5.53.
