The key questions are can they continue expanding, keep the quality of their food, maintaining customer experience, keep their staff trained and motivated, and preventing new competitor from entering. Refer to McD vs Ramli Burger case study. Soon you will see degradation in food size, drink taste and cleanliness unless new gov reduce utilities tariff, min wage, increase foreign worker intake, .....XD
Btw in the food business, there is always something new, something tastier, something cheaper, something more luxurious, and something to kiasu to take photo with. Remember maintaining same menu lead to food fatigue. Food business isnt easy as it sound.
To me, if the hot food and drink is served cold, it has failed the customer experience part and should cut their menu price and PE by 25%. So next time you eat the food, check if it is freshly cook and hot or cold without aroma.
Even the great japanese ramen made by local, having trouble maintaining their look and taste. I doubt if they can keep up the food quality. Unless they employ japanese. XD
Starbuck used to be no.1 where everyone must hold a cup in their hand in the office esp in the meeting, but now,.... all i can say is the quality is no longer there.....
Ate there again today. This time was better than the last. The rice and soup were nicely warm, and the noodles were hot with a nice aroma (abit salty, need to shake the soy sauce before pouring)...other complaint is not enough tissue (2 pieces). XD, how nice if they can serve like japanese, wet issue and warm tower.. XD And there was a baby fruit fly that kept disturbing me.
