Actually Mazda or Bermaz can afford to upgrade the specs for current cx5 like what they are doing for mazda 3 because cx5 has been around for 8 years. All the developments cost and depreciation cost should have recovered so while waiting for 3rd generation cx5 to come it make sense to give a final upgrade for cx5 before replacing it with all new cx5.
