Cocoa futures surged beyond $8,500 per tonne, hitting their highest since early September, amid concerns over tightening supplies. ICE-monitored cocoa inventories held in U.S. ports have been trending lower for the past 17 months, dropping to a fresh 19-year low of 1,698,375 bags as of November 11.
