SFP Tech (BUY, TP: RM1.10) – The group has started to accept tenders for its new
cleanroom and is in the midst of discussions with potential contractors. It expects to
award the contract before end-Feb or in March, and subsequently complete the
construction in 3-4 months after the contract is awarded, as they need the new
cleanroom in mid-2025 to ramp its front-end production. An estimated 10 units of
EFEM has been delivered in 2024. Upon completion of the new cleanroom, the group
targets to have a total capacity of 300 units of EFEMs. Its new front-end customer,
customer M’s new plasma system, is currently pending acceptance by the end
customers (estimated in 1Q25). The group is also ramping up the production for other
front-end related products such as vacuum robots, and in the midst of discussions
with customers for more potential EFEM orders.
